Back Story: Great advisors take their own advice. So it is with Ty Hagler, an innovation consultant with a unquenchable thirst for learning and reinvention. But it’s not just the flood of ideas in his head that float his professional boat—it’s the relentless application of those ideas. While he can hold his own with any leader in the world of design and innovation firms, his greatest strength is his ability to collaborate. The authorities should require him to obtain a burn permit, because his collaborations, whether with clients or his collective of creative souls at Trig®, tend to set the world on fire.

Ty Hagler is the founder and Principal at Trig, an award-winning innovation, design, and marketing consulting firm that guides start-ups and corporate product teams along the path from idea to commercialization.  As a former Olympic hopeful in the sport of flatwater kayaking, Ty has found that the same principles of disciplined processes, pragmatism, and persistence that are required for sport can also be applied to building creative teams that lead innovation results.

Ty has a degree in Industrial Design (’03) from Georgia Tech and an MBA (’11) from NC State.  In 2016, Trig became a force to be reckoned with in the design community, taking home a pair of International Design Excellence Awards for its work with cycling product start-up ALTR ERGO and medical device company 410 Medical.  Trig has embraced the virtual model to create a sustainable, balanced work environment for employees and offer digital collaboration tools for clients to get a local experience from anywhere in the world.
