Trig Innovation Announces Launch of Mustard Tree Instruments® Animation

By Ty Hagler

Recently, one of our favorite clients, Mustard Tree Instruments®, challenged us to do something new after we had just collaborated with them on a successful design project. The challenge— to create an animated video piece in support of its new product, the Mustard Tree Verifier™ Tri Test 1000.

We have great admiration for the character and commitment to excellence represented by the folks at Mustard Tree.  I personally count them as one of a handful of companies that has served as an ongoing inspiration and role model for the evolution of Trig’s own company culture.

Todd Blonshine, Mustard Tree’s CEO, approached us with this unique request to create an animated demonstration of the company’s products, as part of their larger vision to showcase their products on YouTube. This was our first time accepting such a challenge, and we have been deeply appreciative of the opportunity to continue to expand our capabilities.

Patrick Murphy, who joined Trig’s design team in the spring of 2011, took the lead on this project, a virtual demonstration of the Mustard Tree Verifier™ Tri Test 1000.  The product uses Raman spectroscopy, a technology used for the rapid verification of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for color, size, and chemical identification. The technology is non-contact, meaning Raman devices, such as the Mustard Tree Verifier™ Tri Test 1000 utilize optical ports to analyze the makeup of an object.

Patrick created an animation piece that captures the internal mechanism of the Mustard Tree Verifier™ Tri Test 1000 in a way that’s easy for viewers to understand the technology at work, as well as the product’s value. One of the great things about working on marketing collateral like animation videos is that the results can be shared with the public in a matter of months, not years.  It is with great pride that we invite you to check out our contribution to the fantastic set of videos about Mustard Tree's product line.

Visit Mustard Tree’s recently-launched YouTube channel to see this great collaboration with a company that consistently brings out Trig’s best in new and different ways.
